tough is an Update Framework (TUF) repository client
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Comparison Using Wrong Factors in lib.rs, where the timestamp role's caching mechanism may persist outdated metadata after a failed snapshot rollback. An attacker can exploit this to cause the system to accept an outdated snapshot as valid, leading to denial of service.
