This issue was patched in ALAS2-2020-1535.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libxslt-debuginfo package and not the libxslt-debuginfo package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2 relevant fixed versions and status.

libxslt through 1.1.33 allows bypass of a protection mechanism because callers of xsltCheckRead and xsltCheckWrite permit access even upon receiving a -1 error code. xsltCheckRead can return -1 for a crafted URL that is not actually invalid and is subsequently loaded.
