    Incorrect Authorization

    org.apache.activemq:artemis-server is a server package for the ActiveMQ-Artemis project.

    Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Authorization in the createQueue() method in ServerSessionImpl.java, which is invoked by the createDurableQueue() and createNonDurableQueue() methods without sufficient permission checks. If automatic queue creation is enabled, a user with send permission can manipulate the routing-type of an address and cause it to be accepted, without having the createAddress permission for that address.

A flaw was found in ActiveMQ Artemis management API where a user inadvertently stores passwords in plaintext in the Artemis shadow file (etc/artemis-users.properties file) when executing the resetUsers operation. A local attacker can use this flaw to read the contents of the Artemis shadow file.
